Our last port before heading back to Rome on the ship was Napoli. We jumped on a Ferri to Capri, took a wild bus ride up the mountain, and then took a chair lift to the top and found ourselves in the clouds. Capri is a beautiful island! We headed back to Naples to find pizza, but missed out on the worlds best pizza because most of the restaurants close after lunch and reopen for dinner at 7. Our ship would be leaving at 6:30 and we were hunting for pizza at 4. Found Pizza-to-go instead and took a taxi to the port. Traffic is nuts in Napoli!
Day 5 at Sea and a stop at the port of Barcelona, a beautiful city that I’d love to visit again. We took a Hop on Hop off Bus Tour and a beautiful 73 degree day. One stop of importance to us is food so we enjoyed a Tapas restaurant called “TapaTapa” (no, not Topless). I loved the universal picture to distinguish men and women restrooms. The architecture throughout the city was amazing! It was a clean and many green parks. There was a big soccer game that day and the team pride is very strong! Our time seemed very short so next trip we would love to go on a tour of La Sagrada Familia by Antoni Gaudí, who died before it was complete. The cathedral is still under construction!
