Arlington and Washington D.C. – Honoring A Family Member

My Great Uncle Chester was blessed with long life and lived to 101 years old.  The family traveled to Arlington Cemetery to honor Chester Kneller as he was laid to rest August 1st, 2014 with full Military Honors.  He was a Bronze Star, Silver Star, and Purple Heart Recipient for his service in the Army during World War II.  He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a POW.

It was a great to see first hand how deep the military roots are in the family as we found the headstone for our relative George Kneller, who is my Great-Great Uncle.  He served in the Spanish American War and World War I.

We also visited Memorials and Museums on our family trip.
